Forever Young

It is so funny to me that my husband and I still view ourselves as if we were twenty something. I can't count the times he looks at someone on television and says "Boy aren't they looking old". Then I have to sadly remind them that they are our age or even younger. Somehow he forgets that he is close to having to shave his head because of hair loss or that I have to keep my hair highlighted not to show the graying roots. They say you should always think youthful thoughts so I guess we are doing just that.

How fast time flies came to light today for me. My niece is in London for the summer. She just arrived there about a week ago and the first few days were hard, so I have been trying to give her a call in the afternoons. Today she was giving me career advice. As she sat there and gave me ideas for employment I kept thinking this is the girl who use to sit on my lap when I was doing my college homework, the little girl who wore pigtails and pink cowboy boots. Now she is 21 and telling me the 40 year old aunt what to do with her life. Here is hoping she is smarter than her aunt.
