Site Seeing With The In Laws

My inlaws have been visiting for the last 5 days. They left for Savannah, GA yesterday a.m. to tour the beautiful historic city.

We started off Thursday by touring the Ringling Circus Museum. Friends of my husband's parents suggested we go there. The grounds were beautiful and the information on the Ringling Brothers Circus was interesting. For the admission fee of $15 we were able to tour 4 buildings and a beautiful in bloom rose garden. There were restaurants on the grounds, but we decided to head toward the beach and grab fast food. My husband and I had decided we would go to Fort Desoto Beach. Personally we liked this one because it is not commercial. After several hours in the sun we headed back to the RV park for the evening.

Friday we headed to the Florida Aquarium. Now my husband and I were semi regulars at the National Aquarium in Baltimore when we lived in Ellicot City, Maryland so we had high expectations. Tampa's version was smaller, but well thought out with several well timed shows. Our walking tour was perfectly timed from seeing the penquin parade to the shark exhibit. We are thinking of getting a membership because we are sure it will be a regular spot for visitors to tour. Our Friday afternoon was one of leisure at the RV catching a nap and stocking up at the grocery store.
