It could be "Any Wife" making general ramblings about nothing.

Two Little Girls in Blue by Mary Higgins Clark

Wow this is a 24 hour read.

Way back in June my husband and I vacationed with my parents. My mother got off the plane with "Two Little Girls in Blue" by Mary Higgins Clark. She had bought it as a vacation read. By that night she was walking into our hotel room giving me the book. She said once you start you won't stop.

I came home and put it by my bed and there it has sat until yesterday afternoon. My husband was having a quiet Saturday at home and I went and grabbed it and we both read our repective books. By midnight I was 3/4 thorough and by 2:00pm Sunday afternoon I finished.

The story about the kidnapping of twin girls had me sure I knew who the kidnapping mastermind was with every passing chapter. But let me say that my idea changed with almost every chapter. I liked that it kept me quessing and had me reevaluating my choices and why I made them. It kept me engaged.

My husband has even decided to add it to his reading list.
