What to do when your husband has a bad bad day?

My better half had a bad bad day as a part of a bad bad two weeks.

He blames the fact that for the first time in 9 years he took a week off of work. He told me that will NEVER happen again.

He thinks that a bad two weeks will ruin 11 years of being an excellent employee.

I have tried to tell him that everyone has bad days his just came in one large bunch. In reality I don't think he feels well and I think that is effecting him more than he wants to admit.

My husband's strength has always been to take constructive criticism and build on it and grow from it. It is something I admire about him. I shared this with him and the fact that as they say "This to will pass" and things will get better.

Let's hope I was not blowing smoke and he comes home tonight with a better story to tell.
