Dynamics of a vote

Once again Tuesday rolled around and I found myself voting for Sara Evans on "Dancing with the Stars". In all honesty I voted for her because I am a fan and my husband is from Missouri. It is sad to say she was not the best not even in the top 5 but still I voted for her.

As I sat down to write a bit I thought about this. How many Americans when they cast their vote on election day vote similiar to the way I did on last night? Once when I was young as I went to watch my mother vote as we stood in line I heard a person who had just voted say that she cast her vote for governor because he was cute!! While the lesson my mother was trying to teach me was a good one, the importance of voting, I am afraid that the one that the lady in line taught was not such a good one.

Although the voting on this show is not important in the big picture I wonder how many children who see their parents choose who they are voting for on this light subject relate that to voting in our political elections?
