Off We Go to the Mother In Law's House

Thursday night we flew out to see the in laws.

We seem to always fly Southwest Airlines. We left late and got there early I can never figure that out, but I am sure not going to complain. The plane was full and that is a nice thing to see. It is so much fun to sit in an airport and watch people. We left from Detroit and as we waited for our flight we saw a couple in shorts (we knew they were headed south), a woman with a sophiticated business suit and Nike's (you can only assume she had been in pumps all day and wanted comfort for the flight home), a family going to grandmas house and us of course too early we always get to the airport too early headed to my inlaws.

They had eased the restrictions for liquids in your carry ons the day before we left, but to make things simple I thought I had taken out my lotion, lipstick, chap stick from my purse and put it in the checked bags. Thought being the key word. As my bag went through the security check it was pulled out for further review. So much for me being prepared. Apparently in my side pocket of my purse down in the very corner was another lipstick. The security agent was so nice almost as if he was prepared for me to yell that he was digging in my purse. Personally I was glad to see such thoroughness and it was nice that he was polite. I bet those guys and gals are often treated with disrespect and anger. So travelers be nice!!

I have no mother in law stories because I have a wonderful mother in law, but if there is Any Wife out there that would like to share a story good, bad or ugly let us know.
