Highlights and Lowlights

Yesterday on the spur of the moment I decided I needed to get my roots taken care of before vacation in four days. You see my father who is 75 hates it when I let my 40 year old gray hairs start to show. He says I make him look old!!! So to avoid 8 days of this joke about my graying hair I called and booked an appointment.

My stylist who I really love because she referred me to a great gynecologist advised that I should do a combo of highlights and lowlights because if not I was going to become a blond. I said my hair is in your hands do as you see fit.

I am home now and when I look in the mirror I feel like I still have roots. Since I have not had lowlights before is this the way it is suppose to appear?
